Besides paint, and lowering, whats next?
Wednesday, May 24, 2006 6:52 PM
I dont know what direction i should go next with the car. I have the body kit and stuff done, i know what paint i'm going with, and i know i need to lower it, but i dont know what i wanna do next. I'm going to do a taillight conversion, either tiburon or skyline.

I like the sharkwing spoiler, and i like the whaletail spoiler, or maybe a brickyard. others are saying no spoiler?

fenders, Z3, F1, X1? none?

shave the rear door handles? shave the antenna?

The hood, i had plans but realistically i dont know if thats something i want to do. the eyelids are for sure, but i dont know what else i could do with it.

tomorrow i think i'm going to shave the sunfire logos on the side.

PLEASE give me ideas on what i can do. I need some help. There is also a show on the 4th and i want to do some stuff to spice up the vehicle for the show.

cookies will be rewarded for all opinions!

no fenders, no spoiler, bigger rims, air ride, engine mods, etc.

no a couple people on here have it done and it looks real good, you could also get bigger brakes that would almost be a must if you get 5 spoke chrome rims

^^^^^ Yeah, I would say bigger rims, completly shaved, paint matched mirrors and it will be looking really hot.

just take your time before you do any mod to be sure your going to like it and that it will last. you see way to many people on here buying a kit one week then a kit the next because they changed their mind and so on and so forth until its 2 years later with thousands spent and the car doesnt loook any betterh then when they started.

thatd be hott ^^^^

Darn near impossible to suicide the rears without a TON of work.
If you don't wnat to shave the handles, just paint them to match would be hot. Paint the mirrors, just not the black part of the base of the mirror. Bigger wheels would always look good. As for whatever else, I mean it's your car, just look through the forums of pics and get some ideas and see what you think looks good and what doesn't, and run with it.

But you do have a very nice start going once it's all painted to match. Should be a very nice sedan when done...I'm partial to nice sedans

I'm thinking real hard about what i want to do with my rear doors, they're definetly not going to be opening from right to left. i've said it before that i want suicides, but like everybody else said, i dont see it happening, and the last thing i'd ever want is a door to snap off. maybe i'll do the rear reverse lambo door thing.

i plan on painting the door handles and the mirrors too.

so far i've shaved every emblem off the car, so it's very clean looking right now. i got foglights to fill in the fogger holes and i'm working on wiring up some sort of turn signal rig.

nobody has said anything about meshing the front......opinions, PLEASE.

and seriously, keep the input rolling, i need opinions.

go with the mesh. now the question is what color mesh because they come in many different colors. Silver would look nice

i wouldn't get fenders

Re: Besides paint, and lowering, whats next?

well i shaved all the emblems, side mouldings, and pinstriping so that leaves the sides plain as hell, and i think with such an aggressive front end it'd look good with some Z3 fenders

i have z3 fenders on right now. took a LONG time to get them to fit perfect but the do look good and it does kinda set off the sides. they would look good on your car if you put the time into getting them on correctly

why are they giving you such a tough time?

because they are fiberglass and they dont have enough where they need it and everything else on my front end was kinda f'ed because of the accident i got in so that could be another reason. but if you ask around theres quite a few people that had a hard time putting them on.

If you want to go with chrome rims...try a high poished billet aluminum, same shine and style, but lighter and stronger...not to mention you don't need to worry about the finish coming off

Here are some pics I pulled

Centerline Storm

HvyDeez Nitro

I searched billet aluminum wheels on google...check it out if you're interested
