OK so here is the deal. Im getting ready to buy parts for a 02 cav front end. i have a 97 sunfire Gt

Anyway ive got the " CHECK LIST " off the FAQ at the top of the exterior forum. and it is as followed


- 00-02 Cavalier Headlights(with plastic mount, its what bolts down the headlight)
- 00-02 Corner Lights
- 00-02 Front Bumper(or you can modify a 95-99 to work, trimming on the headlight area is what needs to be done)
- 00-02 Fenders(95-99 can be used IF and only you cut off the bracket that holds the 95-99 turn signals on)
- 2 x 9007 High/Low Beam Bulbs
- 2 x 3157 Turn signal Bulbs(any 3rd Gen has these for turn signals so not necessary unless you need new bulbs, you can use what came with your car)
- From the donor car's wiring harness, or two 9007 headlight sockets(unless you have a 95-02 Sunfire, or 03-05 Cavalier, these already use this bulb for headlights)
- Corner Bracket, this holds your 00-02 Corner Lights by one of the prongs on the back of the light, this is not necessary some have said.. but I wouldn't want to risk the corner light falling out, but its ur choice(Click for Picture)

So here are the questions i got ......



1 -- Can you Use 03 to 05 fenders?????
2 -- since i got the 97 it already has the 9007 and 3157 connectors.. so i souldnt have to have to get the wire harness right ?????

so this is how my parts list is working out as of right now

Corners - im getting from a friend
headlights- havent found them yet
bumper - 02 ls with lip which im also getting from a friend
hood - have to find one

If im missing something someone please let me know. And it seems fairly easy but i know nothing goes as planned so if someone heads up on stuff that has gone wrong with there swap's pleas by all means let me know..

i'm not being rude but here gose another screw up i think they look good the way the sunfires come stock

I'll answer one of your questions....you wont need a new wiring harness.

Yes.. 00-05 Cavalier fenders are all the same..

can i have your front bumper??

I think cavfires look sweet. When my insurance money came in, I had the choice to do cavalier or sunfire; I went with 95-02 cavalier front end goodies

Hmmmm.... You already asked me those ones. Brian here in Burleson did the swap to the 03' cav on his 97' fire. I'll get you in contact with him to as well. I don't think you ever saw his conversion. But he had a fuel leak that ended up on fire....total loss. Gimmie a shout later.
