You can use what ever paint you like, I've been for 20 years now and i've never had any regular old rattle can paint ever come off.

Use whatever you like just make sure you clean everything very well before you do. I would recomend using Brake Kleen to clean everything up as its made to get all the brake crap off and leave no residue at all.

All these guys got it right, I just figured I'd just give you a couple more tips.

1. Wire wheel brush drill bit. It'll eat through rust fast.

2. Very course drum sander bit and refills for really tough spots.

3. I also found that lacquer thinner was the fastest way to clean the drums and calipers. Just don't drink it. It told me it would make me blind and cause brain damage, but nowhere on the can did it say it tasted like diet crap.

Ace carries all this stuff, as far as paint I used duplicolor 500 degree high heat, 3 thin coats. One can should do it.
