is there a way to get around from using hood pins? to hold it down?
my AMG f/g Ram air held up to 90mph for 4hrs with no probs.. i was going to put hood pins in this summer cuz id rather be safe.. but i hate the look of them.. and then i ended up selling the hood lol so i gave the new owner the hood pins i was going to use also..
My CF hood had a big sticker on it that said Hood pins are required even with the stock latch
well i am saying is there another way to hold down a c/f hood with out the pins
^^lol

Larry, mine held up at 70mph all the way to your house and back with out hoodpins and ive been back and forth to cleveland a couple times and havent had a problem. i just use the stock hood latch

i am only asking because if i get my new car its going to have a c/f hood and trunk but i am going to paint it for a reason and i need to to look stock and i have hurd alot of bad storys of it flying up
My bro has been ripping around for 3 years on a C/F hood with no hood pins.. And he has had the car up to 130mph a bunch of times.. and no iusses.

I'm assuming your brother isn't driving a J-Body. Unless he eliminated the VSS.
I'll be watching this but I doubt there is any other options besides hood pins w/ the stock latch.
^^ive already sad.. there is always duct tape.. geesh..
on a serious note i did actually kept some in my car with the spare tire.. so if it did ever fly up on a travel i could tape teh hood down to secure it better enough to get home if the windshield wasnt to bad..
If your going on a super long trip , maybe a kinda loose zip tie, just incase?
