Hello Everyone!
I have a 1998 Cavalier Z24 2.4
I purchased clear tail lights for my car about a year ago now. I cant tell you where i brought them, brand or anything about them. But only after having them on the car for maybe 6 months i realized that both back up light pieces were getting water in them, which was causing them to get a foggy haze in them and the water actually sat inside them. It looked like scrap, it started turning green and brown from the water sitting inside them. So we drilled little holes in the middle of them thinking the water would at least run out. We even took the one apart , cleaned it and then resealed it. That one seems to be okay the other one that we could not get apart still is getting water inside it. My question is does anyone know how to fix my tail lights? Or does anyone know where i can get a nice new set of clear tail lights for a decent price?? Thanks for your help!

If you do find a couple sets, let me know. I've been trying to track a set down for a couple weeks. The guy that carried them on an Ebay store hasn't got back to me yet on whether he will start carrying some more.
Which "Clear" taillights are we referring to?? The Old APC style "White-out" clears with the all white lense, or the "Euro-clear" tails with the clear outer lense and red lenses underneath?

Not to put Jason at A+ outta a sale but check www.procarparts.com they seem to have them on and off for liek 75 shipped new.. but jason is someone id rather deal with.. i actually bought a set off him but ended up not wanting to go with them for my darker look and sold em..
i have some in perfect condition. pm me if you want them. make me an offer.
does anybody have any pics of a cavy with cleared tails? ive never really seen a good view of em

This is a picture from a website of the clear tail lights i have on my cavy now. I really like them.. i want another set but i am afriad they will do the same thing.... And i cant see paying that much for a set and then having them leak. I do not remember where i orginally brought my set though but i know i did not pay that much for them maybe $80.

Those are known as Altezzas or Euros.. not clear tails.. when u say Clear Tails me and many other think u are refering to the discontinued APC ones..
i used to have a set on my car but didnt like how they went with anything..
well my car's silver so i would really like a set..did they even make em for the 00 cavaliers? and do you have any night pics?

they didnt stay on long.. 2-3hrs at most and it wasnt night yet.. ud have to get Red LED replacement to be legal.. and no they dont make em in the 00 style but they still work on a 00+ the reflector is just the style of 95-99..
God! Discontinued?? Those look soooooo much better than Altezzas. I want a pair.
Oh well. The search continues.

I have a set of those in perfect shape! i will sell em for 50 bucks! let me know guys!

Wasnt IZNTRL making them for a bit , or was that someone else?
^^ he was making similar with just clear housing and putting clear reflectors behind them.. same thing.. u can get ahold of him and get the clear housings(thats what im doing for set im making) but he suggested i make the reflectors myself if i could..

there u can look at different types of tails and he might have teh ones ur lookin for.. im surprised jason hasnt poked in to this post to help ya out already.

Actually know to think about it i have been to that website and they do have the tail lights i want....
