Ok, on my 2000 sunfire, i was looking at how the hinges work, and im curious if they can be taken completely apart.

I cant stand how the door only open part way, and if you push it foward, it pretty much closes on you.

If they can be taken apart, what do you think about either grinding down the bump in the disc part to let the door open as far as you want and then welding in a new stop?
Maybe even having the door open and stay at 90 degrees would be a great plus as to the stock setup.

it cant be at 90. the panel would hit howver it could be openeed up more i pressume. simply grind down the last stop

Then the door check might not let it open all the way also. So you would have to take off the door check. This would make your door swing back at you all the time though. Not like it does'nt already though LOL.
