Removing side mirrors
Sunday, June 25, 2006 10:54 AM
2003 Cavalier, 2 door, power mirrors.

I'm wanting to remove both sides so I can paint them to match the body. I took off the panels inside, and removed the three bolts on the passenger side, but the mirror still wont come off. Plus, I don't see where to disconnect the wires for the motor. I'm REALLY hoping I don't have to remove the door panels to do this as it's my daily driver and today is my only day off until Wednesday.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

They will just pull off, the foam behind them will just make them stick a little, and yes you will have to remove the door panel to unplug them.

Good Luck!

Yeah I eventually pulled and it came off, realised there was sticky foam bck there. But, since I do have to remove the door panels to unplug them, I'll be saving this project for another day. I'm still not done painting my tails (having a problem with the paint fogging up on one piece) and I'm almost out of day light =(
