Anyways, my car got broken into this morning and the busted the passnger side window. They didnt have much of a choice but to break a window since I dont have handles or locks. Got my system and a bunch of my cds stolen. They cracked the lower part of the dash tryin to get the deck out, but I guess they got tired cuz the deck was still there.
My question is...whats a new window cost? the cop said like $200, but that seems a little steep. Getting the new one put in, I think I got that covered (dad's friend owns a bodyshop)
Another q...wouldnt any 95-05 window work...they didnt change did they?....I could get one from a cav or fire right?
FYI...my cars a 02 cav...front passenger window is what I need.

Call your insurance company and they'll handle it. That's the easiest way.

on a side note: Whats a decent alarm system I could get? I dont want anything high end, but nothing cheap either. I just want it to be loud as fack.

Now any 95-05 Cavy or Sunfire window will work unless its the back 1/4 panel window they are different from Cavalier and Sunfires.. Alot of 95-05 cavy and sunfire parts are interchangable..

when my car got broken in to it costed me 60$ for the window out of a junkyard. i was quoted 120 brand ne and installed. and yes. you are correct for the windows. ive seen the dashes on ebay for around 40-70 shipped if you can find a deal. good luck
If you lived around me in CO, the pick-a-part yard that I goto has $18 "glass - car door". Not sure if "dash pad" means the dash or whatnot, but that is $17.
Well everythings gonna be taken care of when I get back in town next week. My dads friend (who owns a bodyshop) is gonna be getting me a new window and putting it in. I dont have to pay for labor, plus I get the window at cost. After that then I gotta get to window tinted to match the other one. Then I gotta start saving for a decent alarm system. Im not even sure if I'll be getting another set of 12's. Im not sure about my audio setup anymore. I thought about maybe a single JL 12 or a single Alpine Type-R 12. Now Im leaning more towards a single JL or Alpine 10".

When my car was broken into during the winter, the new window with installation was $190. But i have full glass coverage on my car, so i didnt pay a dime, the coverage is only like an extra $1 per month on my policy.....may be something that you want to look into.
