A bumper I recently purchased has some ammount of primer on it, but about half has chipped off. Before I go take it in for paint should I sand most of it down and leave it ruff or should I make it a smooth surface? In other words, if I sand with 100 grit should I smooth the rest out possibly up to 400?
sand it down with 180 grit. If u have the primer and re prime the bumper then spray 3 or 4 good coats then sand it with 320. If the body shop is gonna do it then let them sand the @!#$ off.
