my wife is trying to figure out what % tint she wants to get for her grandam
can some one post what 35% looks like, looking through the drivers window through the passenger side window
and also 40-60% same through the two windows
yes i know its a wierd question
Im not a starfish, It doesnt grow back
i have 35% all the way around, hit up my photobucket for tons of pics at every angle
^ word, 35% all the way around is perfect. You want all the windows to have the same look and during the day its hard to tell you even have tint, but at night it gets really dark.
now that i think of it, depends on your state laws... here in MI you are not allowed to have ANY tint on the front windows. So i would say 35% is perfect for here in MI but that 15% does look good
Actually my 15% isn't exactly "legal" in Ohio, but so far, so good *crosses fingers*
here is mine with 20% all the way around
i got 50% on my front windows and iowa you cant have any tint on the front windows and i got a ticket so
it matters on the state laws and how much of an Ahole the cop wants to be

i have 20% and nobody's bothered me. i've been harassed for other things, but they never once said anything about the tint.
i want 25% lol, 30% is a little to light for my taist, but 20% is a little to dark so go inbetween. anyone have any pictures of this?
topsub WTF is up with your hood?
I tint windows for a living, Id say 15% for a personal vehicle but grandma only needs 30-35%
5%on top of 20% if pointless in my openinon, that would end up being less than 1% and nearly INPOSSIBLE to drive. The overall appearance would be no different than a layer of 5% but each to his own
I have 5%... bad move on my part. Never go any lower than 20%. I can't see anything at night.

I can see perfectly fine out of it. I had 20% first then i went and got 5% and i didn't want to pay to get the 20% off so i keep it on. I dont' have problems seeing out of it

umm Whats wrong with it?
I have 35% tint, but it's platinum. So it all depends on the angle at which you look at the car and the lighting conditions as to how "transparent" or "reflective" the tint is. Here's two pics for example.
I have all kinds of pics at cardomain if you want to see more (just click Primered Z24 in my sig).

I have 20% all the way around on mine. If your worried about the law then I can't help you but i've come to find out 15% looks real nice too.
Its your call but I think you should always get same % all the way around, making the front lighter takes away from the whole look in my opinion
Well im getting 38%, which is legal with the old NYS law. And since my car is 2000 i can get away with it, since the car used to have tint before i bought the car. Legal in NYS is now 75%, which sux.
heres mine 15% all around, only looks lighter cuz the sunroof is open hahah

Maybe you need to read up on New York State law.
Legal tint is 70% in NY. PLUS, you have to abide by the CURRENT laws. Just cause you car is a 2000 doesn't mean that you can get away with tint that may have been legal 6 years ago.
