Trunk Plug ?
Wednesday, July 12, 2006 7:14 PM
Ok, I have a spoiler on my car now that has 2 extra holes that my new spoiler wont need. I took the car to the body-shop at work and they said that they'd have to weld and sand and re-paint my whole trunk lid and keep my car for 2 day. I don't mind too much if I end up having to have this done and $ isn't my problem for this fix, I'm just trying to leave this solution as a last resort.
I tought I've seen something somewhere about some sort of plug or something for this problem. Does anyone have any idea about this or any other solution?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had a similar problem, but i went to the junk yard and luckily they had a 4 door cav without a stock spoiler, and in my color, and i ended up buying that and then selling my trunk (with stock spoiler) for the same price. Didn't lose anything on it. Just a suggestion

yeah i just bought a new trunk, its the easiest and probibly cheaper than body work, but now im stuck with a trunk lid in my garage, so if anyone needa a ultra silver 03 trunk with a wing email me

what kind of spoiler is it? if it sits on the trunk lid instead of having posts then just leave the holes open. that way if you ever decide to sell your car or put the stock wing back on, the holes are right there for you.

well in all honesty its cheaper for me to have the body-shop at work do it cuz they dont charge me for anything, they like it when i give them projects to do lol

its a special edition spoiler with posts (dont mind the feet in the pic ). the current one is an ls spoiler.

current one (the yellow dots are the current holes)(the aqua dots are the new spoilers holes)

new one (will be getting painted i know)

thats a grand am wing isnt it? and it the hole will be kinda hidden, just use vinyl, thats what i used, COMPLETLY sealed out water, and actually blended good too, as i just went spoiler-less and kept it like that
