Attention: Shaved Handles

Forgive me if I have broke any rules in posting this, but I am at a stand still with this issue.

I have a 1995 Cavalier and had originally shaved the trunk, relocated license plate, audio, suspension, and started shaving the handles. I wanted to wait to add the filler plates until I had the solenoids working correctly. Well I changed my mind and bought another daily driver. I have the car all back to stock, EXCEPT I cant find the rods that go from the exterior lock and handle to the latch on the side of the door. I have searched with no success at local junk yards and on line. The junk yards don't want to tear apart the doors for such a small piece.

So my question is, where can I find these? I would think someone with fully welded fillers in would no longer need these rods and would like to get rid of them if they still have them. So any help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance!!

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

try finding a door with collision damage, most of the time the parts you need will still be intact. another option is to find a door with heavy rust(usually along the bottom edge) and show it to the yard guys, they might let you tear that one apart.

if you still can't get them PM me, the local yard has about 35 J's. I'm going to pull a window motor next weekend and i can pull the lock rods if you still need them.

Thanks for the replies Ryan and Super. The trouble is I am in a town of less than 10k, so there is no resources for parts. The car has been in storage but I would like to sell it soon (income tax time means buyers).

I sent both of you PM's.

Thanks!!
