03-05 bumbper on a 00

Ok, I get get flamed for this, but I've searched and searched and I havent been able to find the answer that I'm looking for. So here it goes, will a rear bumper from a 03-05 LS sport with the molded in lip fit on a 00? I wasnt sure if they had the same mounting holes, etc. Any help on this would be very appreciated so I'm going to thank you all ahead of time. I know that the 03-05 bumper also has the filler plates molded in so, if mine came off would it just go right on?

One more question....would Import fighter sides for a 95-99 fit a 2000?

Thank you for anyones help.

Steve

As for the import fighter side skirts get ahold of Karo at www.carcustoms.net they run bout 180-200 shipped each..

bout best price ur gonna find new.. if ur lucky ull find someone selling a used set.. i mean i got my used set for 50 bucks even though one was broken.. still beats paying close to 400 for both sides.. now i just have to spend for 1..

and yes in the 03+ rear bumpers teh filler panels are molded into the bumper. just remove ur rear bumper then the filler panels and then the bumper will bolt right in place

Here's a crappy picture of the bumper of my 00'. I had a bit of trouble getting everything to fit right......I think mostly because it's a flimsy bumpers.com knockoff.

My 03 filler panels didn't have a place to mount them like on the 95+. Also, the top part of the filler panels tuck in under the tail lights. I was thinking the 03 tail light bar had something to that helped secure them. I ended up having to use some screws under the tailights to secure my 03 filler panels down.

I'm not sure how the filler panel setup is on a real GM bumper though. Have you done the conversion Manta, or just assuming?

Pretty much assuming considering there all same unibody.. i havent spent them alot of time lookin at them, all i noticed was the side bolts and the fender bolts were the same.. and i didnt think to look at the filler panels and taillights.. i planned on getting it but i got the IF Rear instead..

Cool. I was just curious if there were any differences between my "knockoff" compared to the original GM bumper. Mines pretty flimsy. Also, the fender well holes lined up? I had a gap as if I was missing some kind of bracket or something.....I ended up getting a piece of rubber hose and a long screw to fill the gap and secure it. If I remember, I also had to do some trimming on the crushguard. Just heads up for future installers.
