how rare/ hard would it be to find the 00-02 style cavalier front bumper without the fogligts but still equipped with the lip....was this a rare option or?...because i love the look of the lip, but hate the look of the foglights, and have only seen it on a few cars....

The lip was standard on the 2002 Z24/LS Sport model. 2000-01 did not have the factory lip.
so what people did is take there non-ls bumpers and add the lip so that there isnt any foglights.
or take out the piece that holds the fog light and then put in the normal piece.
but i think the first is an easier thing to do.
I want that lip sooooo bad. Ive been combing my area lately to see if i could somehow blackmarket one.

i was walking thru the junkyard here the other day and accidentally stepped on a dark blue z24 lip. was gonna snag it, but it had some DEEP scratches. so deep they almost were thru to the other side.

that bumper with the lip came on 02's with non eco motor's so the non ls sport. thats how mine is. my car is a 02 with the 2200 but with the apperance package on it so i have the lips. i think thats the only way they came that way but dont hold me to it i maybe wrong but i love how mine looks. i dont like the fogs in there. look at my sig

The "lip" came on 2002 Z24's (in USA with the 2.4L first half of the model year, and all year in Canada), on 2002 LS Sport's (in the USA), and on VL Sports (in Canada).
If it doesn't have foglights... it's a Canadian VL Sport, or it's been added by someone after the fact.
They're not rare by any means... but there are fewer of the up-level models than base models... so... there's fewer out there to start with. Also... the front seems to be the first to snap off... I've seen quite a few driving around with the rear lips, but no front.

and what i said about mine because mine came from the factory with a base bumper and lip kit but its not an ls sport
Yeah, the VL Sport in Canada was the 'appearance package' I guess... is that what yours called it on the sticker? Or was there an actual name for the model?

I beg to differ. I have an 02 LS Sport with the original front bumper (sold the lips)... no lights.
You can do what I did. Purchase the lip and install it on an 00 factory bumper. Its fairly easy to do and looks pretty good, most people cant tell that I put it on myself. If you want pics pm me or something
