I am curious about the VIS invader hood for my 05 cavy. I have seen a few of you out there with these hoods and i was just wondering how you modified the to work with the hood latch?
and if possible show some pics of the latch in place.

mine just bolted up and works with the factory latch..
hood pins are recomended as a safty issue as the hood is lighter and has more of a chance of catching air and flying up..
i have relied on the factory latch for 2 years with no problems..

same here, no pins, and it fit great. Does move a bit though when im on the interstate
love my hood no pins either, however it fit like doo doo on the drivers side not sure how to fix that my self
ok the hood fits fine, the striker for the hood latch bolts right in, I did remove the latch itself form the car and took a rat tail file and sloted out all 3 bolt holes on the latch itself upwards, do that you can move the latch lower and make the hood close a little farther down, makes it line up better. if your gonna try that I have one thing of advise.... DO NOT FORGET TO HOOK THE CABLE BACK TO LATCH BEFORE CLOSING HOOD TO CHECK FOR FIT
I have this hood on my cavy, and I love it, fit great, good quality and everything.. I did the same thing that Darkstars did and moved the hood latch it self down to make it fit better. Also the hood latch it self fits great on to the hood, just use the stock latch.

almost personal experience, I started to close it and I'm like oh @!#$ and caught myself, it did latch but not fully, I stoped it by the hood in poped but have to push the lever on the latch to release the hood position, it was a close call hahahah
LOL, hey darkstars i was curious about your hood, how it has the eyelids like build in or is that something that you had made special for you? or is that just how the VIS hood looks all the time.
thats a VIS CF invader hood, with one of kind custome eyelids made and molded in plus the front edge of the hood reshaped very slightly and oviously painted part of it
its a freakin sweet hood.
