ECC Motorsports Carbon Fiber Hood

Has anybody ever gotten their OEM CF Hood from them before? They say that they make their hoods with a fiberglass bottom, with a metal latch and it is reinforced I think? And the say that the top of the hood is quality A carbon fiber with rolled edges. And that you do not have to use hood pins with this hood. I don't know much about carbon fiber hoods. I was originaly goning to buy a VIS OEM CF Hood, but this one is over $100 cheaper. Anybody delt with ECC before?

here is the thing i just got my evo hood from vis, and there are probably two companies that make the hood and make it fit right VIS and RK sport you get what you pay for believe and with CF dude if its not perfect you are fuked since you cant rework it at all.

i bought my old hood from ECC, and got a great deal, and i was quite impressed with the quality.

on the other hand, i know someone else who got the same hood from ECC, and it was garbage.
guess its hit or miss with them

So ECC is bad to do buisiness with huh? Pretty much stay with RK Sport and VIS and pay $800 for a hood? Eh to rich for my blood.

Mine held up to a head on accident pretty well. The latch really never came untact like they claim As far as quality goes, within a year it was faded horribly and even after wet sanded and cleared, the hood looked as if the weave had just faded away.

Well this is the hood ECC Motorsports has for sale on Ebay

Tell me what you all think, is everything on the page a bunch of BS? Or does it sound like a good deal. I have talked to somebody at ECC and they promise that their hood's are one of the best on the market. But hell that is what being a salesman is all about. Making the product sound good right? So do you think they are just sugar coating their cf hoods or could this deal be legit? I have heard good and bad from ECC, some get a great hood that lasts as long as the car no fading and perfect fit. While some get really poor quality hood. Thanks for the help.

JSP is what I have & I've had it for going on 3 years. Still looks
just as good as the day I bought it. I've only waxed it once too.

ECC was crap. The one I got from Jason @ APlus has been top notch.
