I debadged and removed all side molding on my 01 z and am wondering the best way to get the remaining adhesive off without wrecking my paint? I tried bug and tar remover but that just dont seem to be working worth a crap. Those with experience my question is...is this just going to take a lot of rubbing and work to clean up....please let there be an easy way
Its all about the pain...The Jewelry and Ink are just souvinirs
Goo gone works for me. Other's will probably have their personal favorites but I managed to get my pin-striping and the side molding goo off with it.

I used acetone, didn't use too much just a little on a nice soft towel and a little bit of rubbing took everything off great and no paint damage.
Did you know that the holes only natural enemy is the pile.
A heat gun and 3M adhesive remover.
I also use googone. Worked like a charm, use a soft terry cloth and put some of it on and just gentley rub it for a couple minutes it will loosen and come off.

nothing like the stuff that is designed for the job. but after i got all of the adhesive off of the car, i had a bit of a "stain" i guess is the best way to put it, were stuff got on the paint and wasnt able to get washed off, because it was behind the molding. dont get scared, i scared the @!#$ out of my self after i took mine off, i had an outline. well i took some rubbing compund, and took care of it in about 30 min per side. no fading what so ever. i am sooo happy now. i just gotta finish the passanger side. its been to hot... haha
I need to find the time to remove mine as well. I hope it goes ok!
SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most Body shops use a rubber wheel that fits on a drill. The rubber is like a pencil eraser and theres no scratchs left or stains it takes off glue and rubber And it's quick. Fight rubber with rubber ...or was that fire? ..its a 3m product
