LED replacement lights...

Is it illegal to replace the turn signal light (front or rear with LED bulbs of the same size? Same colors, just LEDs instead. What about the rest of the exterior lights? (Headlights, sidemarkers, etc.)

No, its not illegal for any of the above, except possibly headlights.

The only bulbs that I don't recommend using in your stock housings are the tails.

The bulbs sit too far back in the housing for them to be effective.

If you go with LED's though in your turn signals, you will need either a load resistor or a flasher designed for use w/ LED's otherwise you will have "blinkers on crack" (ie the car will think that the bulb is dead).

Define LED usage in the headlights. For safety and legality, at this time I do not recommend swapping in white LEDs and expect them to be an adequate replacement for halogens/HIDs.
