ok i was thinking how hard is it to add c/f to a fiberglass bumper? i'll photoshop a pic soon to show where.
well first off... ew..not likin the bumpers(front atleast..)
second... i guess if u know how to c/f its easy.. but i think the part of needing to know c/f is the hardest part..
John Piparo did that exact placement with his bumpers (same kit, but a sunfire [duh]). He explained to me how to do it since I've wanted to dabble in it and it's pretty much the same as fiberglass, but you need a different resin. Also, try not to put uneven pressure on it while smoothing it out, because you'll get dark blemishes.
I'm just a bitch.
the reason i am getting this kit is because the fenders i got don't really match any thing elas and since i wanted to get a c/f hood i was thinking of add c/f other place's
i can fiberglass so i don't think c/f is not going to be so hard to do.
you will probably have a hard time gettting your hands on some right now. its pretty expensive lately.
laying cf is not hard if you know how to glass...you jus use an epoxy clear resin...youmight want to get a torch too cuz if you get bubbles from the resin, you wanna apply heat to it quickly so that it doesnt become an air pocket..other than that, jus time and patience..i'd practice on some test peices 1st, then attack your bumpers..
