ok number 1 i just installed an after market CD player in my 97 cavi and now the speedometer doesnt work, cant figure out why. And number two this is just a question i had the whole trans replaced in my car, now before the trans was replaced the third gear syncro grinded{crunched} took i back after and he said all cavaliers with this trans do that i find it hard to believe just want to know for sure thanks

ya no worries about the tranny, mine 97 does the exact same thing, its not exactly a grind, but its like a crunch, and one thing u should know, the clutch tends to get air leaks in the oil flow once in a while, so if ur not able to get into 1st gear easily and 3rd somtimes, no big deal, just bleed out the air again and ur fine. Mine does it all the time, so everything sounds like its in order. and about the speedometer, might wanna check the fuse to see if ur insturment panel is screwed or not.
