Rear glass in a '99 convertible

I just noticed the cloth is coming loose from and the glass and wondering if any one here knew what type of adhesive is used to stick the cloth back to the glass.

I'm having the same problem. My dad tried some gorrilla glue but that didn't work so I'm going to try using some weatherstrip adhesive when the weather gets better.

It's heat bonded at the Top Manufactures and almost impossible to fix. I bought a new cloth top from Tops on Line and installed it myself. Cost around $475 for Cloth top with Glass rear widow and about $50 in "other materials" and 7-8hrs of my time to install.

Thanks everyone. I called the GM shop and they referred me on because they don't do it. This guy told me it was in pretty good shape yet - not loose on the inside and he can repair it. And yes you are right it is heat sealed. I hope it works or I will have to do the top thing. Thanks again for all the help.

I picked up a tube of 3M's urethane window sealer last night and by golly this might work. Sure seems to be sealed right now. Will let you know if it doesn't work.

Well by golly I believe we have her sealed. I got one corner that doesn't seal just right but the bottom is stuck tight to the glass and I have had it raised and lowered several times since I did the repair.

Yeah, that's the stuff I plan on using when I have time to work on it. Hopefully everything stays put.

Here we are - almost to February and the back window is doing just great through cold weather and snow. The windshield urethene really did the trick.
