Im thinking about painting my 05 Cav headlights white to match my car and I was wondering if there is a big difference between the two when it comes to detail. I'm looking at a can of Duplicolor Olympic White w/ a can of Clear. Thanks for the info guys.
i used the dupli-color victory red and people ask me all the time if i had it professionaly painted. I also just built a new intake that i will be posting pics of in photos and media so look for them and you will be able to see how close they match.
i say go for it!
also you can go to cardomain and search for streaker1369 and see a bunch of pics of my headlights

Yeah, I'm gonna give it a shot. I'm sure it will be worth while. I have one more question. How did you prep the bezel for paint?
I painted my fuel rail covers with color matched spray paint:
The key is to do many light coats instead of making the mistake that many people make and blast it on there so you get runs. One little run can make the whole job look like crap.
Then make sure your color is compatible with your clear or you could get bubbling.

^^^ jason is right most of the time it wont look good. But if you put the time into it and yes prep it it will look good. Have you used spraypaint before? I did graffiti for over 4 years so i can paint a little. Just take the time to sand it and make sure its clean before you paint.
If you have any questions PM me and i will help you out.
Yeah I painted my dash about a year ago with dupli-color. Its not the best IMO, but its not that bad either. Most people think its stock ( non cavy owners ). I was using a matching brand of clear too. I just don't want it be noticeable right off. Ex: "Hey man, nice car and when did you use that spray paint on your headlights?" So I can say with a sense that I have used a "rattle can" to an extent.
