spoilers completely useless?

I know I've always heard that spoilers are worthless to a J because we are not rear wheel drive and we don't go fast enough for it to do any good. But what do you guys think about this.

I've seen posts on the JBO saying that when lowering your vehicle you should lower both the front and back equal amounts to keep the positive(?) rake; which is done to prevent air from getting trapped under the car. Since if too much air is trapped under the vehicle it can create some lift which could cause you to lose control of the car.

This was the reasoning i used when I lowered my car with equal amounts front & back. Do you guys think if I put a wing on (no not the aluminum kind) I could safely lower the rear to match the front since the down force from the wing would hopefully counteract any air getting traped under the car? I think my car would look cooler if the back was lower.

later.....

Your not going to go fast enough in a J for any wing or spoiler to create enough downforce to do any good....and the small amount of lift created by the air under the car at normal speeds is negliable.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.
