Hey guys,

I know this can vary, but for those who got their car painted Id like to get a price range.

I want to pain my 99 Sunfire...nothin crazy just a nice gloss black.

How much do you think a shop would charge for this?

well my dad owns a body shop and is PPG rated, after painting it has a warranty for life on cracking peeling and fading, but it is very pricy, when i was in iraq he repaired all the nicks dents and what not in my hood, left front quarter panle, and rear left quarter panle. he repainted all them peices and blended it into the door so the color would match perfectly. needless to say i didnt pay for this but he wrote it up as if i did and just that lil bit of work would have cost someone off the street $1,200. like everyone said u get what u pay for, if they dont do it properly the clear coat will peal and chip easly. painting a car correctly is alot of work, for it to be done correctly they have to tear the car apart so they can paint and clear the whole panle or it will peal, it is all up to u how much u want to spend.
