dont remember who wrote the istructions so i cant give props where they are due

First things first do not connect the wires permanently until the end.
Tools required
1. Wire strippers, at least one good pair
2. Test light or voltmeter. You want to make sure your grabbing the right wires right.
3. Soldering iron and some solder. If you are and anal person
4. Butt connectors for 14 gauge wire
5. 14 gauge wire, in a couple different colors. You want to wire the other mirrors right. A 50ft roll is good and plenty (NO LESS).
6. Heat shrink or electrical tape for your connections
7. Eye connectors for the relay ground.

STEP ONE
Ok take apart your doors if you cannot do this, then smack your self in the head and sell your mirrors. After your door is apart, unbolt your old mirrors and cut the wires to the mirror. Now mount your mirrors if you were lucky and got coupe mirrors you bastard. If you got sedan mirrors break out the saw all you’re going need to make them fit. On the other hand, you can have a body man fit them to your car. Either way make sure you have access to the mirror wires.

You should have the wire connector for the power door lock, the stock mirror switch and Toyota mirror wires hanging there. Cut your stock mirror switch off, right before the connector. Peel back the factory electrical tape and separate the wires. Stock wires on the switch should be orange, black, red, blue, white, and green.

Now let’s look at the Toyota switch and connector for the mirrors.
It should have 8 wires on the connector! If not you may have got, a different year switch and connector then me. It should have these color wires on it.

Top
White Yellow
Black/White Red/White
Brown/White
Green
Black Yellow

Now look at the stock wires you just cut. The Toyota mirror switch and the stock switch have the same color wires for the left mirror .If you want to test it, connect the following wires together temporarily. White, the yellow right next to it and the green to the wires you just cut, this is the control the left mirror. To power the switch connect the orange and black to the bottom black and yellow wires. It should now work and you can control the mirror, if not your switch is either set on the right side or it doesn’t work right. Get a new switch

STEP TWO
Ok mounting the switch. Pick a spot and make sure you can reach it with the wires you will be using. I put mine in the door next to the power door lock.
Now that you picked a spot blah, blah, blah. Look at your relay. It should have eleven wires.

BLUE/BLACK PINK/BLACK
TOP GREY/BLACK RED/BLACK
OF -> ORANGE BLACK
RELAY YELLOW/BLACK
GREEN/BLACK BROWN/BLACK
ORANGE/BLACK WHITE/BLACK

Ok find a place to mount the relay and make sure you can reach it with the wires.

STEP THREE

Here is the hard part. Left mirror white yellow wires right next to each other on the switch to same color wires on left mirror. Right mirror is the red/white, and brown/white wires same colors of the right mirror.
The green wire goes to both left and right mirrors. You need to connect the blue/white wire from the right mirror to the green wire on the left mirror and then connect them to the green wire on the switch. Do not permanently connect and of the wires yet unless you are positive you got the colors right. you can temporarily connect the power (yellow) and ground (black) to test it again to make sure the mirrors themselves are working.

Relay wiring. Pink/black, red/black, brown/black, and white/black go to the left mirror. Match color to color. Same with the right blue/black, orange/black, green/black, and gray/black same as left match color to color. Now your almost done.

The power wires are yellow on the switch and orange on the relay. The ground is black on both. Remember the yellow and black on the bottom of the switch are the power and ground.

By now you should have 2 wires left the yellow black on the relay and the black white on the switch. Put them together.

Test. They should fold if not you @!#$ up that’s why I said not to connect the wires permanently yet. See now you can go back and fix them.

You might be wrong. There are two different relays that are used. I would know since I have one regular, and also one that doesn't match up on colors, but is pinned the same. Since sometimes the wires go thur a few different harnesses they change colors.

The fun part will be swapping the glass from your Chevy mirrors to the Toyo mirrors... (do they even fit?)

Remember they drive from the other side so the glass on the toyos is flipped (Left to right mirrors) from what it should be in North America.

yes, that is a good point silver. what is everyone else doing about the mirror glass?

Re: toyo mirrors

The mirror glass is the least of your worries. Good luck seeing out of them they're awful... The left side (drivers) is angled a lot more than it should be for LHD cars because its not meant to be on a LHD car obviously. The left side mirror has a convex lense, and this is a GOOD thing, because you cant angle the glass enough to compensate for the angle of the mirror itself.

It's hard to explain, but you'll understand when you get them. I've had mine on for a few weeks now, and it takes a LOT of getting used to, I'm debating whether or not to pawn em off to someone else.

Im getting the mirrors tommorow and it doesnt have the harness or the switch so...Does anyone know where i could get a harness and switch for toyo mirrors.. I've emailed street-line for a price on the relay to no response and I've checked Gmparts(they want $461 for it)... Also ebay doesnt have any. So does anyone else have an idea on where to get or if i can make one?

Re: toyo mirrors

Well about seeing out of the mirrors you are kinda SOL to say the least. Like they said above you can see well with the angled mirror, but for the pass side you can check the blind spot for the car next to you.

BubbaKnoxz - Make your own harness, and I can't believe anyone was able to see a set of mirrors without everything. You are going to pay more for the switch for what you paid for the set of mirrors. I hope you got the folding relay with that too.

Re: toyo mirrors
Tuesday, September 26, 2006 3:27 PM
I only paid 130 for the mirrors and $30 for the switch at street-line... everything else i have to make or buy which is going to be a pain in the A$$ maybe i should just sell the mirrors once i get them and buy the ones for 260 on street-line

Re: toyo mirrors
Tuesday, September 26, 2006 4:50 PM
Well just FYI I paid 150+ shipping for my 2dr set for my coupe, and then I got a set of 4dr for like 180 or 190 I think from a friend of mine shipped. I think you paid a little to much. If you talk to the guys that sell the mirrors on e-bay most of them steal the relay and switch and pay for just the mirrors. Just a little insiders look on things.

Re: toyo mirrors
Tuesday, September 26, 2006 4:58 PM
I got mine for 200 ,and they came with the relay and the switch. they're both black and in almost perfect condition.

If you emailed us we would have emailed you back and yes we where in the middle of finishing up the site and the kid that was doing it never finished it. So for the emails we get them when the sever feels like it, just call us when you have a question or need parts. On the relays no we dont have any in at this time just the ones for the mirrors that we are selling. We have put in for more but only time will tell when we can get our hands on them. Also anyone out there that can do websites? if so contact us please!!!
