Well i bought my engine from a junkyard..this was awhile back engine has been in for awhile but i always forgot to ask if any of you guys knew wut this stamp meant on it im quite confused.
its supposeably out of a 2001 Grand am..
It has a stamp on the engine (in pic) that says Manufactured for General motors.. blah blah
it says date... 02-2003
they didnt even make these engines in 2003 and its out of a 2001 grand am? So im a little bit confused only thing i can think of is it was remanufactured in 2003? even tho its a 2001 still a little early to be remanuactured either way maybe you guys know?
it looks like the build date and the part number for the block or something
there is a chance that they swappped a new motor into their car at the yard. maybe thats why the motor outlasted the car
I may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
looks like someone replaced the motor in the car , and that motor is prob assembled from a outside source , as a replacement or rebuilt motor
