I installed my lambo's a few weeks ago and it seems like when i go to shut my driver door quite often it wont close because of the latch inside the door itself. Then i have to push the latch up on the side of the door (where it latches onto the car when closed) and then i can close it fine. Its almost like the latch slides down to far on its own. Has anyone had any problems and does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
Some members have come to a conclusion that the door pushes upward when opening which makes the lock close slighty (just enough to cause problems when closing). Like David said, try oilling it. Or you can just push your door down when opening it to prevent it from happening.

Do what I did, and sell em
i had the problem...tried replacing the latches, but couldn't get them off....whenever i closed the door, i pushed the latch up to make sure the latch was all the way up. If it wasn't the door would just bang against the semi-closed latch, and bounce off. I put stock hinges back on because it was a pain, and have had no problems since (even with the semi-damaged latches).
Are they from modified motor sports? I bought them and i've had the same exact problem, and there really is no way to fix it other then putting the stock hinges back on, those stupid things ruined my outlook on my car and basically made it a half ass POS. everytime someone got into my car it would happen, and HONESTLY do you people really want to push the latch in with your finger's evertime you open the damn door? That's pretty damn "ghetto" if i may, and to other people really drops the quality of your car.
Mine do it every now and then. Just oil them up like they said.
I love my lambos, but there definately not meant to be on a daily driver, thats one of the only downsides i have to them.

typical jbody owner. want things cheap and then complain when it doesnt work right.
now im not saying joes stuff is cheap but if you want quailty parts then spend the money. theres reasons why some kits cost 500 and some cost 900.
With lambos it's either a love 'em or hate 'em. I love mine despite the few problems but then again they are on a daily driver. You get used to it if you love it. If you hate it you complain about it endlessly when a question about lambo's are posted. Pushing the door down slightly when opening a door isn't hard to do unless you're in a hurry and forget. As stated previously, they're not really meant for DDs.

Well ya know, not for nothing....I see your point 100% but if MMS or yourself or any maker puts their name on something and it doesn't function properly woudn't you try to resolve the problem as best you could so atleast you can say you're trying to fix it and put a damn good product out there for the money? Not just put a product out there that doesn't function completely right and then that's it. That'd be like Turbo Tech Racing making those new 2.4 top motor mounts and then have them still allow the engine to move around and not attempt to fix them and that's the end of it. You'd be pissed too if you spent like $150 on a motor mount and have it not work well. I don't care how much less the MMS lambos are compared to other $1000 kits. Even tho $500 is alot cheaper then other kits, $500 is still alot of money.

it happens to me too, but I don't complain because I love it. I have actually gotten into the habit of going for the latch every time.....whether it is needed or not.

All he's saying is that if you want something to work right then you have to spend the money. My philosophy from learning: if you can't afford to do it to quality, then don't do it. It won't be worth it in the end.
I had lambos and sold them within 2 months.
Sold 6/30/06.

Switch over to Suicidedoors.com Bear claw latches in place of the OEM latches, Costly but they ar WAY easier to line up and prevvent the ever so noticeable door ding that EVERYONE with lambos has
Dose anyone have labo doors that go up 90 degrees. I just bought a pair from gt factory and was woundering if any one has had problems with them.
yeah i havent decided yet how much i love/hate them. Ive had them on for about a month now and i love the way they look but i hate the downsides also. maybe ill check into the bearclaw latches that sypder wizard was talking about.
