Headlight sealer?

I pulled one of the headlights apart on my 03 cavy because it was leaking. I was going to reseal it but it didnt turn out at all. What product would work to take the glue off, I've got a TON of it to get off.

if you want the stock silicone off of your 03+ cav headlight housing, put it in the oven when you mom or girl is not home.

leave it in there for about 3 mins at about 300'. be sure not to pull the headlights out by the mounting brackets. they will be softer so are able to be bent. so try to not touch them after a few seconds.

when the headlights are pulled out you can take a screw driver or what ever and chisel out the remaining silicone. you may need to leave it in longer. if so, keep a good eye on it and try not to exceed 300'. you can keep it in longer, but dont keep it in hotter.

also, a heat gun will work too. that way you can concentrate on just one little area at a time rather than having the whole headlight heat up at once.

good luck with everything brandon!!!!

oh, spray the kitchen with good smelling stuff so the woman of the house doesnt smell the plastic/silicone. LOL

Man, you HAVE done this before. I had to fallow all your pointers today when I pulled them apart, They didnt even know LOL

Anyways, I have a heat gun and some type of goo gone, I'm hoping it will off. The stuff on the can says it will work for Tar, and that was about the consistancy of this stuff.

And to seal it back up I got some Loctite clear sililcone
