This sounds like the opposite of what everyone is doing.. but I want to attach factory chevy emblem on the hood.
What is the adhesive to use for this purpose?
I went to 2 GM dealers part departments today, they didn't have anything for attaching an emblem. I think some kind of thick double sided tape will be used... but I'm not sure.
Any help appriciated.
Thanks.
actually, 3M makes an adhesive called "Plastic Emblem & Trim Adhesive" that works wonders for doing that. it comes in a little 1 oz black tube and you can get it at walmart, autozone, advanced auto, etc.
Sticky Tack

i would say not to use super glue if you ever want to take the emblem off
one of my chevrolet badges broke and i superglued the letter back in place, and i have recently debadge my car and the superglue stayed on the paint and nothing would take it off.
i ended up getting this super glue debonder and it softened the glue, but it also took some of the paint off

3m double sided tape deff the way to go....if GM puts them on with dbl sided tape...why wouldnt u? lol
I swear by 3m tape........being in the sign bus. for 30 years, can,t beat 3m!..............never use super glue!!!!!!!OUCH!!!!!!lol
I just bought carbonfiber and flamed z24 emblems off ebay, I'm worried some lowlife f*ck will steal them off my car in a parking lot or something, is 3m double sided tape somewhat strong? But I also don't want to use super glue or something and not be able to get the emblem off later down the line, ya know?
