Ok, got my tails, 95.99 style. Now i have read all the write ups for how to wire these up. just to note, that my toyo tails did not come with a wire harness. anyway. Everyone says u need to CUT the brake signal from the turn signal feed which is the WHITE wire in the column. So do i literally just go into the steering column and snip that white wire? or am I soldering some sort of connection to the end of it... let me know thanks
just cut it. Tape it off and thats it
ok sweet, all i have to do now is find a bulb socket which actually fits the yellow outter socket hole
Have fun with that, but yea just cut and tape off that wire.
thanks, do u guys think my toyota dealership might have a socket that fits the outter signal hole?
LoL please tell me you do know that is a GM part not a Toyota part. A GM dealer would, but not sure what the part number is on that. I'm sure you would have to special order that part. BTW I work at a GM dealer, and they can't look up export parts in the system. So you need to find someone that knows what you can use. Wish I could help.
umm...... I have looked up export parts in the GM catalog....... but that was awhile ago (ordered my Toyo lights from there) I also believe Chris looked up some of the parts for me just a few weeks ago.
...... but I could be wrong, maybe the new GM catalog they use doesnt have these parts listed anymore (unless you enter a VIN number?)

Hey, i work at GM as well. They cant look it up either. But its alright, i went to good old Canadian tire and found a socket that fits. Wired it all up tested everything but came up with a wierd problem. hazards work, signals work, daytime running lights work, left brake light works, right brake light doesnt. and then when i pressed the brake lights again i blew a fuse. So i checked everything over, with a test light and it all checked out fine. but it turns out the right brake light burnt out. but have any of you ever heard of a bulb burning out causing a fuse to blow? kinda wierd....
