If I had the money, I'd buy the thing for sure. The initial price is kind of steep, but it'd pay for itself if one were to make a mold and start producing them. Look at all the people that want the bumper. Or even just the lip.
I might be able to purchase it next year with my tax return (providing no one buys it now), but I'd have no clue how to go about making the mold, even for the lip. I don't even know who I'd talk to to get the mold made. LOL
I'd be willing to do a 95-99 conversion on my car for that bumper... LOL

I've made molds before, using modeling clay and foam, sort of the same process car designers use when building concept cars and one-off body kits. But that's the problem. I could make maybe one or two, but to mass produce them it'd be nearly impossible for me. I don't have the time or resources to make more than a couple.
what about getting the mold made, and sending it to a company to have them made? just curious...

this is the third time its been on ebay. the seller wants waaay too much for it. sure it was from a prototype and thats pretty cool....but unless you buy it to make a mold then youre really just paying $500 for a stock bumper with a lip

if this thing hasnt sold in exactly 3 months, it WILL be mine.
im just wondering if the bottom lip is actually removable... cuz if it is, i would put it on a stock z bumper, i HATE those stupid round fogs with the mesh or wtf/e it is. i like my stock look, but i REALLY want the right lower lip-and the technic is PERFECT.

cant tell from the pics, but it would almost HAVE to be a separate lip. otherwise they would have had to make the stock bumper again from scratch just to add a lip to it.
and i would imagine it would be much more legal to make a plug of this one-off item than to make a full copy of a kit that was actually in production.

I'm trying to remember... I've seen the bumper up close...
I BELIEVE it's two piece.
I'd be willing to chip in money in Jan/Feb to get this bumper, get the mold made and get a co. to make it.
