Juss curious if anyone has seen Sunfire or Cavi clear headlights without them being HIDs? When I say clear, I mean the lense is smooth and doesnt have any lines on it like on the factory headlights. Any comments would be great! I was wondering if its possible to clear out my factory lenses or would I have to purchase new housings? or lenses? If anyone knows where I can get them that would be awesome!

Clear lenses on a 95-02 Sunfire without modifying the housing to either have an internal focus reflector or a projector is a bad idea.

The lines on the stock lens are designed to focus the beam.

Thanks for the interesting read! I didnt know that the factory lenses do that.....cool! I think Im goin to leave them be then and just get the new halogens they got out now! But Im curious...where could ya find an internal focus reflector and is it possible to make it all work without projectors?

Anything that has a clear lens from the factory (example, 03+ Sunfires, 00+ Cavaliers) will have the focus reflector. Might be able to take the reflector out of a set of 03+ Cav headlights and merge them into your Sunfire headlight housing, giving you a safe light output and the clear lens that you are looking for.

I was thinking of doing that with some headlights I'll buy off ebay, get a set from a 95-2002 sunfire and a set from a 2000-2002 cavalier and see what I can do, also see if I can get some clear lenses from Izn-trbl(think I spelled that right) If I decide to proceed with this project, and if it works out I'll have my camera ready and take pics.
