dimming passenger low beam = No more high wattage bulb

well I started the other day will my pass low beam seeming a lil dim. well today I pulled it apart to replace my Nokya stage II bulbs with my stock ones, well when I pulled the bulb out I noticed it was starting to melt the socket and the bulb. I'm suprised that after a year of those bulbs being 100/80W they didnt burn out quicker. So next set of bulbs will be Silverstar Ultra's then HID's down the road.

Hmm, a pain isn't it? I noticed my '02 cav was doing that so I clipped some plugs off an old ford van and wired 4 relays into the car and used all 12Ga. wires and 18Ga. to trigger them. I am now running 80/100W Hella Xenon white bulbs(Hi-watt Silverstar clones). Stock wiring to my setup with the relays almost doubled the output. I had to aim the headlights down because people always thought they were on Hi beam. Add my driving lights and I can light up a city block and then some now.
