cheap bodykits?
Sunday, December 31, 2006 2:19 AM
does anyone know where i can find a really really cheap body kit for my '99 Cav? im talkin' like under $300, because i really cant afford any higher than that. i would like a z-24 or similar body kit if available, just something that's a little lower than my factory bumpers bc i mostly drive on country roads that has a few bumps or debris on them....i found that out the hard way when i was driving late and in bad weather, cuz i must have drove over a small limb that came up and gauged into the bottom of my car a lil bit. thats why im trying to find a cheap bodykit w/ side skirts to cover the "eyesore" up some.

thanks everyone!

if you want a 95-99 z kit, you should have no problem getting one for under $300. first check out any local junkyards. they should definitely have some wrecked cavs in there and youll be able to piece together a z kit easily, possibly finding your stock color too. good luck and if you get it, post up some pics

no $200 didnt include shipping, the front and back fit pretty well, the side skirts just took a little work. not bad though

people on this site are so cheap its rediculous.

when people buy cheap kits like alot of ebay kits, their the first ones to come on here and complain about how crappy their kit is and how they now have to pay someone a @!#$ ton of money to have it installed properly.

why not spend the little extra money and get something that you wont come back and inevitably bitch about.
and dont say "cuz i only have $200 to work with, or i cant afford it". if thats the case you save for it. if you cant do that, then this is the wrong hobby for you.

not including the cost of the car, i have well over 10k into my car. i dont make alot of $, i own my own home, but I SAVE for what I want.

if you cant do it right, why do it at all?

i hear you thats why i just leave it alone and let people find out the hard way. people on this site have got so cheap lately that they refuse to pay for anything remotely good. this is why there arent alot of new things coming out for our cars. hell i cant even sell my parts because no one wants to pay for them.

This is the reason I still have an 00-02 Urethane Drift front bumper from Versus

I cut the price in half of what it retails for and people are still to cheap to buy it. The thing is still practically brand new, hell it was never painted

save your money or your just going to end up with junk dude even if you do find a 300$ kit that isnt a complete piece of junk (good luck) do you have the skills to fit it and smooth it out and paint it to match the car? i doubt you could find a quality bumper for that much. shipping from any company is going to run you over 100$ so now you have to find a 200$ kit. u also have to find a cheap ass painter, problaby maaco, so now yoru looking for a $100 dollar kit. just save your money up.

Every now and then a deal might come your way, but you need to pay up to get good quality.
