So I'm not sure if this would be the right place for this question or in the audio and electronics forum but... I put the front of my kit on (it's an x-plosion kit) and there is no place for the bumper lights, so I just took the bulbs out. Well now the turn signal lights are constantly on in the cluster. I know the bumper lights on my year cavalier are actually the turn signals but I see people with a drift front who don't have the bumper lights either and I was wondering if there is any way to fix this? It's not a big problem, but it is kind of annoying. I plan on putting some clear celica lights or something similar if I can find something to go with the curves but until then I would like to fix this. Sorry if it is the wrong forum, but since it deals with a problem that came from my kit I decided to try here. Thanks for any help.
Mask off the plug part of the bulb.
couple coats of high-temp black paint
reinstall the bulbs in the sockets and zip tie them out of the way.
Should fix the problem
^^or just wrap the bulbs with electrical tape lol.
There is a girl who has the same front and she had Neon markers mounted in.. they sit right next to the headlight like on the neons.. doesnt look that great but if ur lookin for a solution to use them and like how it looks u can go that route.. Here is a link for some of her posts if u wanna see em

Also if u would like the use ur bumper signals, u can always take some metal strips or brackets and fab up some way to mount them.. u can use the bumper rebar or even have em mounted to the body kit.
The reason 95-99 cavys have 2 sets of turnsignals is because its illegal(in most states, but ive only had a problem while in PA) to not have turnsignals visible from the front and sides.. the corner signals u cant see to well from the front, so they put the bumper signals.
Btw same thing with sunfires.. thats why they have teh sidemarkers with the bumper lenses(or in 03-05 the inside turnsignals) in the front as well..
well i know some people w/ the drift kit used integra or accord lights that worked really well. i just taped my bulbs off and zip tied them behind the bumper
That is a pretty simple solution, can't believe I didn't think of it lol... I really think those neon lights are ugly, guess it would work for inspection though if needed. And go figure, the only place someone said they had a problem with it is in PA, guess who lives there... Anyhow, do you think the one piece headlights they have on ebay would shine in front enough to fix it to the point where I wouldn't be hassled about not having bumper lights?? I'm guessing the seam/gap cuts back on them shining in front quite a bit. Also I have been thinking about getting them for a while (since they were about $300) and if they would allow me to avoid the hassle of not having bumper lights my mind is made up about getting them. Thanks for the input.
