Will EVO hood vents make engine really dirty?

I'm looking into buying a carbon fiber Vis EVO hood because I really like the look of it, but I was just wondering how dirty the engine will get because of the open vents. Will it be a huge difference from the stock hood, or will the engine just get a little bit dirtier?

My car is a daily driver, and I would put the stock hood back on the car for the winter months. Also, I've heard that the Vis EVO might come with some kind of removeable plate that installs underneath the two large middle vents to prevent a bunch of water pouring on to the engine at once....is that true?

yes the middle vent is removable good for hot days keeps the engine cool and i really didnt noticed a big difference in how dirty the engine gets so i would say its about the same as a stock hood

Is your car a daily driver? I just wonder how it would be on the highway & stuff during rainstorms.

mine was a daily driver, for about a year and a half with the evo hood. not a single problem. i didnt run the vent cover, and you gotta realize water and dirt get in there anyway.
if anything the water comming from up top will help keep things cleaner, for the reason its not comming up off the road and in.

ive never had a problem with mine and ive had it for over a year and a half and this is the first winter my car has been stored and the carbon hood was on lastyear when i drove in the winter months. i had no problems and didnt notice and more dirt than the stock hood, actually if anything things remained cleaner cuz of the constant windflow

Thanks for the info guys......this has finalized my decision to get the hood. And I checked your pics of this hood on your cars, and it looks great.
