last i heard if you have the part numbers you can buy them from gmpartsdirect, not for sure if they are still making them or if they have any in stock, but if you search you can find the part numbers.for 95-99 and the 2000 toyo tails.

yep, just checked gmpartsdirect, they still have the tails available to be bought. just search for the part numbers, as baggedcav98 and myself have suggested. they'll be cheaper buying them from ebay, or from another person rather than buying them from GM.

These toya cavy tails; they are being made by gm brand new?
I thought they were right from japan off the toyota cavy?
so the gm toyo tails; are they really jdm tails off the toyota, or made in japan for the toyota cavy?

pretty much there not JDM.. but considered it because they are only on the japanese version of the cavalier..and most get theres used off Toyo Cavs in Japan via eBay. anyone would tell u their JDM(hell id tell u there JDM too) but technically no there not.

that is not true and this is why, Yes GM made the Toyota Cavalier and it is copy right in the name of Toyota not GM. the other thing is the tails like that and other items for the Toyota Cavalier where JDMDOT and not USDOT. Japan has way different DOT laws then the US DOT. Even though there where made here they where only sold in Japan and for ordering them your lucky if you can get them. By law GM does not have the right to sell the items because its Toyota's copy right. I know it sounds messed up because its a Chevy Cavalier but GM made contracts with Toyota for this vehicle and sold the copy rights to them on these items. I hope this helps you out in some way and if you think i'm making things up then come down to the shop here and look at the 3 toyota Cavaliers we have here from Japan. Good luck on getting them and make dam sure you get the wire harness with them.

ok, learned more i guess.. i know u can buy em from GMPD and a buddy of mine his uncle ordered some for him through his dealership..
Talked to the guy earlier... That ebay link is for the lights only, no wiring included.

^^i wouldnt think making the wiring harness would be hard.. give me 2 sets of pigtails and some wires
i got all the wiring figured out for my tails, toyos will be easier lol
