i know ive been on here before asking people if they had the part number for the JDM headlights off the Toyota cavalier well it will still be helpful for me to obtain that part number but i did come across some ill post pics there minor differences such as the three nipples or guides in the front of the headlight this is not present on the toyota cavalier ones much easier to better fit the eye lids i also obtained some eyelids from steve at street-line ill post pics soon well by tonight

There is a reason nobody has Toyota Cav headlights, they're made for a RHD car, meaning the beam pattern would aim towards oncoming motorists here in the states.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Not to mention, that's some coin to fork out to make some eyelids fit better.

Shave the nipples off the headlights you have, and wetsand them smooth with the lense.

well the reason was not to have the eyelids on mostly personal satisfaction i know the reason that people dont buy them but im just getting down to detail again just personal satisfaction just like how most people feel about details on their own cars thanks for your reply

this is what the american one has

these next ones are the jdm no major differences only those nipple things

im not trying to convince anyone to purchase the jdm headlight again this for my personal satisfaction the eyelids from streetline will fit the stock oem ones but the bumb will hit the eyelid you can either leave it alone and have the eyelid stick out a little or you can grind it down the eyelid will cover it up anyways with the jdm ones come without it so no cutting but this is something people will have to source out i dont have part numbers to the headlights i just came across them.

You can just aim the lights. Then they will be fine. But you are kinda right.

The nipples are there to aim the lights I heard. Not positive on it. I would just shave the nipples also and say they are JDM lol.

Yes, the nipples are there to aim the lights. There is also little numbers by them I think for the special tool to aim the lights.

there are machines used to aim headlights a lot of times. Mostly when the vehcile is created at the factories. It detects the direction of the beam or something or other. I'm not exactly sure how it works. But you can still aim your headights the manual way to however you want.

It is most likely to speed up assembly. Probobly before they had a machine that could do it without the nipples. I do not know why they would not have them on the Toyota models. Maybe because the Toyota models have a glass housing and they may not be able to produce glass with a nipple like that. I am no glass maker though so who knows.
