Side graphics

Hopefully, after I fix the not running so well thing* I can get my game on for this. I'm undecided what the top colour of this two tone will be, but I'm aiming for a bright, classy colour. Pearl whites, bronze, Subaru blue metallic.. something like that. I'm leaning towards the lower half to be done in matte or semi-flat black, sort of like old-school muscle car graphics (Like the 383 Cudas and such). The tip of the 'r' will wrap around the trunk and meet the reflected graphic on the other side. The top line of the 'C' will dip down the side of the front bumper.

The kit I'm after is the full BC2. Either 1 Pc Projector headlights retrofited with HID, just projector headlights and amber corners or convert to 00-02 blacked out headlights. The rear should be adorned by the RK Sport carbon bezal with 'altezza' tails smoked. Carbon hood. Tint the windows. My bronzed out 95-99 Z24 wheels wrapped in Falken Ziex ZE512 rubber. The 3-Pc 'brickyard' lip wing which I'll mold in. That shoudl cover the exterior.

What do you guys think of this side graphic? I had a bunch penciled up and really took to this one.

*my car recently decided to only run on 3 cylinders. At first I thought it was a headgasket and the little bastard was sucking oil/coolant. Turns out the black smoke was a helluvah lot of unburnt fuel. I'm replacing the coil packs today to see what happens.

I think the design looks great. I just wonder how much sense it makes to spend so much money and effort drawing attention away from the fact that your car has such humble (read: cheap) roots, only to advertise that fact in 8-inch tall letters down each side.

On an unrelated note, I propose a stylish new line of activewear rendered in only the finest bulk Taiwanese fabric, with "WAL-MART" emblazened across every butt and chest in a bold two-tone.

i like it, it is unique. it can look good if done right. id say no on the altezza's smoked, and a no on the pirate flag as well. other than that i like the way it COULD look. but how is the cavalier going to be on the drivers side, you may want to draw the other side of the car too so i can see how its going to wrap around.

I'd more or less be 'advertising' the fact that you can do up a J in 'showy' form without looking like crap. A few items on the to-do list are a little off the normal path towards that, but I'm not exactly what you'd call 'normal', either. lol

The Cavalier lettering would be mirrored on the passenger side, so it does the same thing as the drivers. C starts at the base of the fender and works up to the r that extends around the trunk to meet the other. Wraps it all together. I'm just looking to have fun with the car and represent it as what it is, an inexpensive domestic compact. I'm not ashamed to say I own the car, so I'd have no issues having graphics boasting its nameplate.

You know what? I like it. Just don't do flat or matte black on the bottom. Try a dark gun metal and subi blue on top

i dunno about the whole mirror thing. i think that would look pretty stupid imo. also there are plenty of js out there that are in "showy"
form that dont look like crap

yeah i wouldnt mirror it, id find a way to get the letters to be so that it can be read the right way instead of mirrored. i would go with a blue black, blue white, or a green and black, and def. gloss. not flat. gloss would make that look really good.

personally i think thats a pretty kick ass concept you got there. and yeah it may look a lil weird at first but i've seen several imports with mirrored lettering and it don't look bad. just concentrate on your color combo and getting it all uniform. and when it all boils down to it no matter what anyone else says you still are the one who owns it so do with it what you will and let your creativity free,

i know im gonna get blasted for this but oh well...............

i'm sorry, cause the design is cool and what not, but it reminds me of those stupid windshield stickers that say cavalier or pontiac or what ever, its like "i'm such a dee dee dee that i need the name on it so i can remember what i'm driving" i just don't get the point of telling everyone in big bold letters HEY I DRIVE A (whatever) I'M SPECIAL!!!! anyone who cares enough about cars to look at yours already knows its a cavalier so why advertise it??? but like i said the design is cool

many changes in the making
