Admins, I'd first like to state, if I'm going about this the wrong way, please let me know. I, in no way, want to step on any toes or cross any lines here.
I'm just trying to gauge interest for all the j-body owners. I'm not trying to sell this product on this forum YET.
If there is interest, THEN I will hold a group buy, or a classified ad. Whatever works on this forum. No, I do not own a bussniess, or a company, this product is something I've had custom made for me in the past, and I just want to offer it and make a VERY small profit.
Now, On to me... I used to be a Cavalier owner about a year ago. I owned a 2001 and used to lurk on these forums all the time. Nothing special was done to it at the time. I since, sold it, and bought a Dodge Neon. I'm VERY well known on my forums. (http://forum.2gn.org) and am not here to scam anyone. I just figured I'd try and branch out a little, and see what interest other people have.
This is the product I would be offering to everyone here.

Prices will stay the same, there is no discount for any type of owner.
I'll check back here every few days and see what kind of interest everyone has. If people seem excited, then I'll start selling them!
Thanks!
-Josh
Anyone interested at all?
Just curious...
id be interested possibly.
What do you mean possibly?
I need details, so that I know just WHAT cavalier owners are looking for.
i got some rop light that was 12v about 3 years ago @ walmart n still have it,i recently bought dc rope light w/ a power inverter n was going to ho0k that up in the trunk,i like the idea of puttin it in the wheel wells, what kinda price we talkin?
Direct link to the sale on my forums...
Just a reminder, this isn't plan rope light, it's LED filled. Regular rop light, the bulbs would start to break after awhile.
I've had my rope light on the car for about 4 months now no problems.
No need for a power invertor, all direct 2 wire hook up.
Calm down buddy . . . If people are interested, they'll post and inquire more. No point just bumping the topic by adding obvious posts.
As for the underbody prices, they are a tad high, specially for rope light LED's. If I wanted, I could by a few myself from stores around here and zip tie/mount them for a third of the price. The wheel well lighting looks pretty cool though. I seen the pices and their pretty bright, but I'm not sure how legal those would be. I have Streetglow Blueline series underbodies, and their brighter then your LED's, but I have yet to get pulled over for them. I'm not sure if that'd stay the same with wheel well kits since the light is sticking out a lot more and can be considered more of a distraction.
Looks cool though. Almost makes the car look like a UFO, lol

I only bumped it up once, the other I was answering someones question. I apologize. I realize I'm teading on new territory when I go to a new forum to post. *laughs*
I understand they're a little up there, but my FIRST kit I had custom made... cost $280 for 52'. Yea, it was stupid high, but I wanted them to start producing more, and had to pay an initial high price. I'll be 100% honest, and I'm only making -roughly- $20 on each sale I make. These things are NOT cheap by any means. I'm just trying to gather a little extra cash.
And I can't find ANYWHERE that sells 12v LED rope light. If you can, direct me to where you find it, and I'll happily stop selling these. I went on one hell of search trying to find a store, business, company ANYTHING that made it in clear tubing with colored LEDs. Everything I found was clear LEDs in colored... which looked horrid. I had to call up several different LED companys and have them custom make these for me.
I know you can find alot of brighter underbody kits out there. There's no doubt about it. The only good thing about my kit, is you can connect strand after strand after strand, and it's still only a 2 wire hook up. On my car, I have it going under the car, up into the wheel wells, and into my engine bay. I have about 70' total on my car.
Legal issues... I have no idea. I live in Ohio, and have never once caught hell becuase of it. I've gotten pulled over for other reasons, but not for my underbodys, and 9/10 I have them on when I'm driving down the road.
Just trying to keep everyone informed.
You can't find them in stores?? Sheesh, in Illinois they are everywhere, lol. K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Spencer's, lighting stores, etc all have them. I always see them around here. I got bored on day and I came up with a plan on how to "trick out" my room giving everything underbodies like the computer desk, entertainment center, etc. I found a bunch of LED rope light kits with clear tubing for as little as about $25. We ended up putting the rope kit under my friends bed so it had underbodies, and the kit he got had clear tubing with red LED's and its bright as hell. Think he spend about $25 on the set (on sale). Didn't know these things would be so rare outside of Illinois??
that's the thing, what you are finding is 110v - 120v (i sell these as well), you'd need a power inverter to use them in your car
What I'm selling is 12v, so you can hard wire it into your car, or use the attatched cig lighter... although I've still never seen LED rope lights in stores around me. Just rope lights with bulbs in them.
The example you posted Baggs says they work the same.

Max run goes for 12V or 120V, amp draw, etc. Its the same wiring and lights, just with a different connection. Maybe I'm just thinking too much into this, lol
Blue Rope Light: 2.95 + 2.50 = 5.45 x 26' = 141.70 + Shipping and handeling.
I sell 52' for $160 shipped.
Anymore questions?
Interesting... to many light up things right now to go for more, though.
OK, so it seems people are taking a general interest, which is a good thing.
I'll contact one of the Adins, or group buy people, or who-ever and ask how they want me to go about this since I'm not a company or anything.
I'll keep everyone that's interested up to date on what's going on.
Thanks!
Ok everyone, just let people know what's going on, a dealer is going to be taking this product... which means the price is going to go up.
This may, or may not happen... we'll see. So, these prices arn't going to last forever.
I have REALLY good news to. I NOW HAVE BLUE ROPELIGHT!! ACTUAL BLUE!!!
WOO!
