the halogen bulbs that come with them aren't very bright at all tho, and i heard you can't change the bulbs? But then what happens if one of them blows? Anybody know if this is true?

These that I posted were projectors. They are the brightest we have ever seen. Brighter than projectors with HID conversion.

Back from the dead (Search button FTW!)

I just bought a set of these... was kinda disappointed to find out that it's an H1 bulb not a 9006 like stock... so my current HID kit won't fit it. Buuuuuuuut.... if John says they're brighter than the old style projectors w/ HID's (which is what I'm converting from...), then I shouldn't be disappointed should I?!?

Has anyone tried these, and ended up upgrading the bulbs? The H1's that came with them are 55W... I know I can get much higher, up to 130W if I want.. (probably burn the damn things up though!). Or I could get an H1 HID bulb to fit it and use my current ballasts.... anyone??

I think I'll try both in the car and compare... maybe take some pics too.... heh....

As long ad your new bulbs have the standard amp connections that your old ballast has and are the same wattage they should be fine.

I just got them a month ago. very easy to install and wire

Only thing to beware of are the fitment (mine had minor probs), seal (I had to re-seal mine, it leaked), and quality (2 of my LED's always came loose, so I had to secure them)

Otherwise, they look damn sexy, especially with the black ones, and turning on only the LED's at night.

The bulbs for the projectors are H1 type setups, u can buy the HID conversion kits on Ebay for about 100 or less.

The high beams run on 9006 bulbs, which u can get whatever u want to use (GE nighthawks or i bought ones made by Hella)

The adjustments for light projections don't work that well, but otherwise, I love them.

You can still use these lights with the stock bulbs though, right?

I love these types of headlights, but similar to the ones for my '04 Accord, they're all just so friggin' "busy" in regards to design.
