I was wondering how I would fix the swirls or burn marks in the clear coat from the body shop when they buffed my car as you can see in the pic below?

i think if you took a good polish and went over it again with the buffer it would take them out cause that what i do whenever there are tiny scratches in my paint but i may be wrong someone correct me?
I didnt know if a clear coat compound would work on it?

usually a good buffing will take care of that. They should have used a finishing pad (I think that is what it is called) to get rid of that.

If they burned through your clear you need to reclear it. Send it back to them to fix it. From what I see
that does not look like it came from buffing. Looks like a big scratch or is that reflection from the house in the
middle of the door.
If you wanna try to fix it yourself then all you need is some polishing material. I guess you don't have a buffer so
just do it by hand. 3m makes a good polishing glaze. I think meguires also has a swirl mark remover.
it had swirl marks on it the next day after I got it home and it was only on the area's that they worked on being the drivers door quater and trunk lid cause they had to blend the paint.

Hey jw did u ever get them out of your car?? and if so what did you use to do it.. My car has the same problem and i cant seem to get it to go away.
haven't messed with it. weather has been to cold and nasty to bother with it.

I would say wait a week then take it back to them. That way it gives the paint time to cure so it won't be soft when they goto buff it.
That's what I was told when I wanted to get mine buffed out after work.
