Probably a dumb HID related question

Please don't flame me for this but i was driving home today and i was thinking. Since the stock 9007 bulb has the tip painted, couldn't you swap in an HID kit and also paint the tip of the HID bulb with a high temp paint of some sort?

I eventually plan on getting projectors from Josh at Izn Trbl but for now i was wondering if the paint would work, if anyone has tried it or if it would just be a waste of my time and money.

Thanks for any help and comments whether they are good or bad.

though it is a great idea, the tip is not what blinds on coming traffic. what it is is the tremendous light output that HID's put out. since the halogens are not so bright, the amount of glare everyone sees is no real big deal. but when you intensify the brightness of the glare 3 times, it does become a big deal and hazard.

but, if you can get a set of HID bulbs for a good price (cheap enough to ruin), give it a shot. the most that can happen is you may just ruin the HID bulbs. LOL

let me know if you have any questions. good thinking, and good luck with what you may find out buddy.
