i remember seeing on here a person who carbon fibered their roof of their car and was wondering how do you do something like that. I want to do that too and also the rear quarter panels so if anyone could share their knowledge thatd be great thanx

Your prolly going to wanna take it to a custom shop and have them do it, its not an easy process. Couple of cars in my area have the top of their car carbon fibered, took like 3 weeks to do, cost was a lil pricey.

There was another guy, perhaps Big Poppa who was covering the entire car in CF...

^^ James! Blu.2.Carbon
hes doing basically two tone with c/f.

and didnt jnight's problem occur cuz they think there might have been body filler under the roof when he wrapped it?

yes James has done c/f on his car.

he has it on his roof, a-pillars, parts of the quarters, fenders and doors.

Doing carbon work like that is very hard to do...well to do and make it look nice at least.

o ok. i understand that it would have to be basically layed on top of the exisiting metal which im fine with, so wouldnt it be like wrapping a car in a vinyl becuz i have a guy who does that and he told me he could do it if i came up with the supplies. he's the same guy who wrapped the jotech scion in import tuner and various other cars.

cf vynal and actually cf are 2 different things. the vynal looks very fake and terrible. the actual cf you have to lay then put a gelcoat over it.

so all u have to do is lay the cf on to the roof, and gel coat it or what?

^ there's alot more to it then you think.

you need to apply an epoxy resin on top of the carbon fiber material. it will be a few layers of resin, alot of sanding, then clear coating.

it's not like applying a stick or vinyl graphic!
