im lookin to have my cavy painted and i need some kind of idea how much paint is going to run me, gloss black and the stock bright red..and possibly the rims powder coated. any kind of help would be great, thanks in advance.

It's going to vary from place to place. Call your local shops and ask around.

Sorry for not giving a direct answer, but a direct answer is impossible. Even if people come in here and say "well I paid this much" or "I paid that much"... that doesn't give you an accurate idea of what it costs because there are literally tons of factors that go into how much it will cost (as mentioned in the sticky) What quality work you're looking for, what you want done exactly, what area you live in, the shop itself, etc.
Best bet is to go to some shops and get estimates.
