which sealant should I use?

I was thinking of making some custom headlights and was wondering what kind of sealant the factory uses for the headlight lenses.
Thanks

i alwyas use clear silicone inbetween the lens and the housing. go thru it with a somewhat thin bead, then lay the lens on, and push down so it squeezes the excess out the edges. then run it over with your finger to get a nice even bead all the way around. then i like to go over it when it dries with a thin layer of black silicone. but thats me. not completely necessary, more cosmetic than anything.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

this is what Josh (Izntrbl) uses, and its what i used as well:

"GE's silicone 2. 100% silicone sealant. black. window & door."
the tube has a blue lable in the front with a gold lable ontop of the blue lable. i get it at home depot.
