nope just something the dealer used to suck money out of a customer or if previously owned, stuck on by that owner

average minds talk about events.
great minds discuss ideas
the guy got anally raped with dealer rice......or he just took for granite that you knew little about the j-body or the org in general.OR he just know nothing about his car .

not completely true. there was a cavalier badeged as the cavalier ss. it was early thrid gen, like 1995-97 or so, but was pointless.
it was like the Z22 and the sunfire GTX, all you got was some stickers.
now ive seen these in canada, don;t know if the exist south of the border or not.

nope. there was NEVER an ss cavalier. its something the dealer makes up to get more money out of people. your probably thinking of the rs cav (rally sport) which was like a z24 except the motor wasnt a 2.4
The cavalier SS isn't a recognized car by GM. Rather, its just something dealers do to make people who like modding cars, perk an eyebrow to it. For example, a GM dealership by my house was selling a 2004 Cavalier SS. All it was, was a Cavalier LS, only with a bodykit, supra spoiler, STICK on ramair hoodscoops, and different rims. Difference here, their starting price was $18,900 for it. Pretty insane for a Cavalir.
I saw a 4 door Cavalier, like a 2000 or so, with Z24 badging just the other day. Same thing. Could be wrong but last time I knew there wasn't a 4-door Z24. I've also seen an early 3rd gen with a TRD body kit and all the Toyota badges, but instead of saying "2.4Z" on the rear deck, it said"2.2Z". Again, never existed. Why people insist on doing this stuff I'll never know. Maybe I'll rebadge my car with ZR1 badges, add some hash mark stripes on the left fender, and call it a Grand Sport.

I don't think your alowed to legaly call a Cavalier a "beast" are you ?
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
Depends. Is it fitted with a big azz blown V-8, 4-link rear clip, a bullet proof Powerglide and driven by Jeg Caughlin? I'd call that a beast.

I'm just sayin... But if you want to keep it in reference to STREET DRIVEN Cavaliers, then... No. I don't think "beast" is an appropriate term. If used loosely, sure but that's like calling Oprah "sexy" or Dr Phil "intelligent". Maybe Raven's car can be considered a "beast" but I'm not sure if he actually drives it on the street.

SO EVERYTHING!
my buddy has a z24 sedan (and its turbo'd now
)
i have teh ill Ld9 z24 ecotec SS
how about dem apples?
They made the Z24 4dr from January '02 til April of '02.. then it switched to the LS Sport 4dr with the ECOtec. Its a rare car and I'd sell my 2dr in a heartbeat for one. And for all you people up there that said there was never a Cavalier SS, think again. They had one at SEMA in 2002 that was packin a 2.2 ECOtec Supercharged. It put down 262.2 hp (hense why it was called the Cavalier 263 SS). It was Tangerine Dream orange, had 18" ADR's, dual round projector headlights and had flared fenders and quarter-panels. In fact, sometimes they show it at the top of the homepage when you load this site. It was unveiled along with the Sunfire GXP concept and some turbo Saturn SL2 that was 2-tone yellow and red. Sadly, the Cavi and the Sunfire were stolen right from SEMA and have never been seen since
