Ok i need help on where to start with sanding a bumper i am buying its currently painted the metalic green that the 95+ cars were painted i am looking to sand all that paint off prime and paint it ... where should i start with sanding and work my way up to what before i prime and paint it....i have searched all of exterior keyword "sanding" and its mostly about wet sanding and i don;t think they wet sand the bumpers or do they ...i dunno any input plz help
well first off if you dont know how to sand it, then i hope you arent painting it yourself. do you know how to paint? half if not more of paint is the prep work.
do u have air tools? an orbital DA?
i have painted things before and i know primer is scratch filler all i am looking to do is remove the old paint and put tghe new paint on one of my buddys has an orbital sander hes gonan come help he knows whats hes doing i don;t just looking to get ..sandpaper b4 he comes down
use aircraft remover its a paint remover.

oh god don`t use that one plastic!!! that @!#$ will ruin the bumper, no need to completely strip the bumper down,
use, 120 then 180 then 240, that plastic should be tpo or tpe the plastic like to fuzz up fast hence the 240 to remove the rough plastic from the 120 and 180
then use a flexable primer, and if ur buddy is a painter he will know what to do then
