I was thinkin' that when i paint my z Sunburst Orange Metallic, that i could paint the roof black like some of the 95-99 GT sunfires. these sunfires came like that from the factory but i wanted everyones' opinion on this. would it look wrong like guys painting their hoods black instead of CF. i would paint my hood black ever but thats just me.

Did I miss somthing???? Are you looking to paint the hood black or the roof? if you're thinking about painting the roof black then dont. IMO it would look dumb.

It's your car! I liked the Sunfires with the black roofs, but that's just me. If you do it, post pics.

I dont think it would look bad but it would be easier to ask in P&M so they can chop it for you.

i've already asked to have my z24 painted sunburst orange but nobody helped me out.
don't want to paint the hood black, just the roof but i wanted to see what people thought
i realize that it's my car and in the end, it's up to me what i want to do with it.

got rid of some dents and dings, you had a few
go with a c/f hood and trunk. then paint the roof black!

there is a cav in town painted pink on bottom and black for the roof, a,b,c pillers too looks great imo

Have you ever thought about just doing a two-tone paint scheme?
I've been contemplating the black roof myself on my 97 GT and have come to the conclusion that it would only look good if you absolutely blackened all windows to give it a glass roof effect. Just check out some of the new Benzes or Lambo Gallardo SE's

You could always paint the roof black, then do a carbon fiber overlay.... Looks good on some cars, never seen it done on a J-though.....
