dumb question i know......

This is going to be stupid, but here goes anyhow, lol
How come you cant put a tiny bit of paint on hedlight bulbs to make them your own color of choice, i am talking about 9007 halogen bulbs......
Probably because the paint will burn off very fast and may cause other damage to the socket etc...???????
I know with the little tiny 197 bulbs i think they are(the ones in my front bumper lenses) i have them paintted green, paint never burned off, they have been paintted for a few years now, i just used craft paint; i just thought maby putting a bit of the same kind of paint on headlight bulbs would work; but since everyone buys aftermaket bulbs i am assuming since they are headlight bulbs and put out more watts of power it would just cause the paint to burn off.......
Anyone every try and put paint on headlight bulbs???????????

Because they get too hot and cause the bulb to blow. Same reason you don't touch halogen or xenon lights with your fingers, the oils on your hands will stick to the bulb and cause them to blow in time because they get so hot.

In your opinions, what bulb do you think i should get, or what bulb would you buy, the pure blue luminics, or the jdm yellow luminics bulb, i am thinking of getting one of the two; just not sure what to go with; anyone have exsperience with either bulb???????
